Prepaid Electricity VS Postpaid Electricity
With Postpaid electricity you paid for your electricity after you used it
The electricity company will send you an invoice every month, which will reflect the amount of kilowatts consumed and how much you have to pay for the billing period. Postpaid electricity requires a credit check so it may be possible that you will have to pay a low connection fee, post paid electricity has a fixed kilowatt rate, which means that the kilowatt rate will not go up or down while in contract.
With Prepaid electricity you paid for electricity before you consume it.
To start your service you purchase kilowatts in advance, in order to manage your usage. With prepaid electricity you do not receive a monthly bill; you receive notifications via text messages or email. These notifications include your available balance, average kilowatt usage, how much you got charged for the kilowatts and how many days of service you have left. The electricity company will notify you when you balance is low, and then you will have to add more money to your account.
You must have a smart meter to connect prepaid services.
If you or someone in your house suffers from a critical or chronic care condition you will not be able to connect prepaid electricity. Prepaid electricity does not have a fixed kilowatt rate, which means that the kilowatt rate can go up or down at any time
